The YP is a non-profit which I co-founded with the Friedlund Brothers, Matt and Andy, whom I met when I was cycling across the USA.
Th YP utilises adventure to mentor young people and raise funds and awareness for impoverished communities in the US and around the world.

The YP seeks to Inspire. Explore. Connect. Celebrate. while using Adventure to mentor underprivileged and over-privileged youth and young adults; and in order to raise funds and awareness for the most neglected and the least fortunate in the world; naturally, with a particular emphasis on women and children.
We are the International Association of Young Philanthropists. We just refer to ourselves as the YP. But before we make it that easy for you, let us tell you what that actually means.
We’re International because we work around the world.
We’re an Association because we are, literally, a “group of people organized to accomplish a joint purpose.”
We are Young not only because not one of those involved in the founding were older than 24 when the YP was founded in 2011, but also because Young is something that is nascent, innocent, and it is something that is valued in today’s society. Youth. Everybody wants the energy, vitality, and beauty that come with youth. Nobody wants the naivety or rashness. What we do (Adventure) is, at times, both. That is, at times it takes sheer stupidity to boulder a cliff in the middle of the Mongolian wilderness, jump out of an airplane, or pedal a bicycle around the world. And we’ll carry that to our old age, not to mention encourage those much older than us to join in on the movement. Because no one is too old to act like they’re young. And no one is too old to invest in the lives of those who are still young.
And Philanthropists because, well, we strive to be just that. “Philo,” in the Greek, is “lover of; to love.” And “Anthropos” is “humanity; of human origin.” Together, the word Philanthropist is one who loves humanity. We certainly strive for that, though we believe it’s something that can only be done by Christ.
That is to say, we are the International Association of Young Philanthropists. But you can call us the YP.
Or better yet, join us and become an YP yourself! www.theyp.org
