About me and my Filmmaking Experience
Well I'm a filmmaker. I'm currently based in London and come fully armed with my own shooting kit. I use the super portable Sony HVR-A1E which is especially handy for documentary, but can equally hold it's own on other types of production.
I have extensive experience shooting digitally, and have worked with most of the Sony, Canon and Panasonic cameras on the market. My background is the study of film, practice and academia, at the University of Kent at Canterbury. Having graduated with First Class Honours I set myself up freelance in the city and gained experience working on projects primarily in London and the South East of England, followed by a spell in New York City.
My passion is for the creation of the polished product - I gain great satisfaction from composing shots that both please the eye and infer meaning beyond the aesthetic. I feel strongly about projects that aim to inspire positive change - equally I enjoy constructing and crafting the worlds that can only exist within fiction.
If you would like to contact me regarding collaboration, or are interested in any of my personal projects listed on this site please email me -leon@leonmccarron.com
